Armbrook Village is seeking a patient, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, compassionate and organized to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing therapeutic programs for our memory care residents.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS:

Part Time: every other weekend: 10AM-5PM

The position can be split into two roles broken up by days

Rates start at $16.75 per hour

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Form meaningful relationships with residents and families;
• Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily therapeutic programming schedule for 7 days per week;
• Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors;
• Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site
• Assist with support group and educational sessions for families and staff
• Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred. Must have 1+ years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
• Physical requirements : Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)
• Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
• Punctuality & reliability - Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities and we expect our associates to deliver on this promise.
