Position Summary

The Project Accountant for Heritage Links is responsible for the set-up, monitoring and reporting on project financials for the golf course construction division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Gather all relevant documents and set up new projects in the company's ERP system.
  • Set up phase codes budgets based on predetermined estimates and schedule of values.
  • Initiate monthly reviews with project management to analyze project performance.
  • Prepare accurate and timely AIA construction billings in accordance with contract guidelines.
  • Gather necessary support to timely and accurately issue contract change orders.
  • Partner with VP of Finance at month-end to determine project profitability and revenue recognition.
  • Secure subcontractor lien waivers to accompany customer billings.
  • Participate in project related meetings as necessary.
  • Drive collection efforts and respond to customer billings inquiries.
  • Close projects once fully billed and completed.
  • Prepare project financial reports and other reports as required by management.
  • Gather necessary support to timely and accurately issue contract change orders.
  • Partner with VP of Finance on other accounting tasks/assignments.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge (pivot tables, vlookups, report building).
  • 3-5 years of project accounting experience using a large-scale ERP system (preferably Vista/Trimble).
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clear understanding of AIA construction billings.
