Duties Description Under the direction of the NYS Geographic Information Officer within NYSGeo, this position will lead the creation and implementation of the tools needed to manage the 25-agency NYS Esri Enterprise Agreement (EA) and assist with the development of the governance documents for the implementation of GIS software in NYS agencies. At the same time, the position will work with all sections of Geospatial Services (Enterprise, Client, Data) and the Chief Data Office to address needs for Story Maps, publication-level digital cartography, and GIS Hubs, dashboards, and apps. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Development of GIS governance documents
• Coordination of GIS knowledge transfer between NYSGeo sections
• Creation of Story Maps
• Support of the NYS GIS Clearinghouse
• Assist in creation of web-based GIS services apps (Hubs, dashboards, web apps)
• Work with customers to analyze complex GIS needs
