Six years of experience in:
• Developing customizations, reports, interfaces and programs in a PeopleSoft environment developing with PeopleTools Application Designer.
• Programming using PeopleSoft Application Designer with PeopleTools 8.54 or higher and experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) version 9.2.
• Utilizing SQL against an Oracle relational database to support PeopleSoft related tasks.
• Developing alternative solutions to problems and works with IT staff and users to evaluate effectiveness of proposed solutions.
• PeopleSoft Application upgrades and the various tasks related.

The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
• Associate's degree and five years of experience
• Associate's degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and four years of experience
• Bachelor's degree and four years of experience
• Bachelor's degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience
• Master's degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
• Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional 2 years of experience

Duties Description Under the direction of a Manager Information Technology Services 1, SG-27, within the Chief Technology Office, Shared Platform Services, Middleware Services, the incumbent would be a member of the PeopleSoft Center of Excellence Application Development team.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Provide technical support to PSCOE application areas using various tools and technologies such as SQR, COBOL, PeopleSoft PeopleTools, Oracle/SQL and Unix shell scripts.
• Design and develop SQL-based queries to extract data from Oracle databases using a variety of reporting tools such as TOAD, PeopleSoft PS/QUERY, SQR and Crystal Reports.
• Develop reporting solutions leveraging Extensible Markup Language (XML) Publisher and other PeopleSoft technologies
• Support the EDI (Electronic Data Interface) process used to transmit enrollment information to the various insurance carriers.
• Participate in PeopleSoft system upgrades, as needed.
• Facilitate special requests for PSCOE stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues reported by the business.
• Design technical solution to achieve business objectives and functional requirements
• Create detailed technical specifications
• Create new system enhancements using PeopleSoft development tools
• Modify existing enhancements using PeopleSoft development tools
• Apply development standards and best practices
• Document Test Scenarios and Scripts used as part of Development Unit Testing
• Perform Development Unit Testing (DUT)
• Perform Code Reviews and Recommendations
• Provide assistance and guidance to business analysts and end-users in testing
• Troubleshoot issues identified during testing to isolate if it is a data error, code error or user error
• Create and modify Reports and Queries to meet the business needs
• Troubleshoot and fix issues related to reports and queries
• Participate in Conversion Activities
• Setup Workflow Configurations
• Perform other tasks as necessary to support the PeopleSoft applications
• Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
