Description

Responsible for supporting all aspects of project controls and reporting for projects for the Construction Business Unit including: cost management, change control, progress measurement,schedule development, and implementation and control.

  • Lead initial project setup following company policy and industry best practices; cost reporting and control, change management, planning and scheduling setup and control, and earned value tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in the creation of timely, accurate and complete project reports for account team and project management.
  • Track and analyze costs including running reports from financial accounting system.
  • Engage team on a frequent basis in cost reviews and provide suggestions for cost control and forecasting of EAC's.
  • Assist with setup of Change Management System.
  • Assist with upstream and downstream change orders.
  • Document changes to cost reports and forecasts.
  • Assist project with initial development of cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist project scheduler with proper WBS and manhour distribution set up.
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling activities; monitor the adherence of the plan's execution.
  • Develop, implement, and execute business strategies for mitigating all risk exposure levels.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, construction, and accounting functions to provide for timely completion of projects while maximizing profit and maintaining quality and safety
  • Provide feedback to the Project Controls department in regards to improving policy and procedure.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management/Analytics
  • Minimum of 5-7 years project controls experience in an industrial construction setting or similar
  • Effectively communicate goals, plans, and training
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Experience with project controls best practices to help manage teams and hold team members accountable to results
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet daily, weekly, and long-term requirements and goals
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Database (SQL) and data analytics (Power BI/Tableau) experience a plus
