Kavaliro is seeking a Project Cost Accountant for an excellent client in Boca Raton, FL. This position is a direct hire role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project progress from inception through completion and anticipate, identify, and work with the project team to resolve project issues
• Analyze cost variances and discrepancies, providing insights and recommendations to project managers.
• Monitor and track project costs, including direct and indirect expenses, labor, and materials
• Perform cost reconciliations of projects versus adjuster's reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• GAAP experience and and any accounting software experience
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, or similar disciplines, preferably within the construction industry or comparable industry
• Intermediate to advanced skill level using Excel
• Detail oriented, strong communication skills, able to communicate and work with the project team to identify issues and ensure alignment with overall financial goals.
