Position: Project Engineer

Worksite: 500 Lee Street East, Ste. 13, Charleston, WV 25301, United States

Responsibilities: Coordinate project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones for projects in the Chemicals and Specialty Chemicals industry in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Supervise project personnel through subordinate leaders, demonstrating understanding of engineering project delivery workflow and coordination. Bridge the technical gap between the Project Manager and Engineers. Ascertain that engineering work is done according to plan by helping with design interpretation. Review bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. Understand and execute projects for various Polymers and various Licensing Packages. Effectively lead project team to accomplish goals. Set clear objectives for the project team including scope, schedule, productivity, and budget targets. Keep team members informed about project status and key performance indicators. Oversee, motivate, and monitor the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and address any performance gaps. Assign project work and give technical guidance to people assigned to work on their projects. Understand and apply Worley established procedures, methods and tools for project technical coordination. Review deliverables and ensure approved systems, processes & tools are deployed and complied with on the project. Apply knowledge of all aspects of project engineering to oversee successful technical coordination. Lead and ensure design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.

Minimum

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field and 5 years (60 months) of progressive process engineering experience in the Chemicals and Specialty Chemicals industry, including technical, supervisory and/or management experience responsible for making independent decisions involving multiple, less complex functions based on established guidelines, taking into account the cost and schedule impact to the project; must include at least 3 years of experience with Polymer and/or Licensing Projects.

Requirements: 10% domestic US travel required.
