Purpose:

Responsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by Worley. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Bridges the technical gap between the Project Manager and Engineers. Often functions as assistant project manager with an engineering background. Ascertains that engineering work is done according to plan by helping with design interpretation. Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. This role would apply to those with an engineering background.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines and selects team required to deliver scope of work.
  • Effective at leading team to accomplish goals.
  • Sets clear objectives for the project team including scope, schedule, productivity and budget targets.
  • Keeps team members informed about project status and key performance indicators.
  • Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
  • Assigns project work and gives technical guidance to people assigned to work on their projects.
  • Understands Worley established procedures, methods and tools for project technical coordination.
  • Ensures Worley approved systems, processes & tools are deployed and complied with on the project.
  • Applies knowledge of all aspects of project engineering to oversee successful technical coordination.
  • Ensures design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering project delivery workflow and coordination.


What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Typically, 10+ years engineering experience within the Chemicals Industry, including 5 to 7 years technical, supervisory and/or management experience, developing project management experience.
  • Will have experience executing multi-discipline projects greater than $50 million TIC.
  • Will have experience with workshare execution thru High Value Engineering Centers.
  • Makes independent decisions involving multiple, less complex functions based on established guidelines, taking into account the cost and schedule impact to the project.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:
  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural.

Preferred:
  • Industrial Engineering.
