Primary Responsibilities

The Project Manager- Building Engineering Services (MEP + Structural) will be on the front line with the client, program management teams, design teams, and construction teams to help shape delivery of multi-year, multi-million dollar projects which have the ability to positively impact our practice across New England.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Project Manager- Building Engineering Services (MEP + Structural), we'll count on you to:

  • Identify, direct, and monitor the MEP+S aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity.
  • Lead MEP+S delivery teams in varying delivery methods; traditional and alternative.
  • Deliver and coordinate several projects concurrently.
  • Establish internal and external client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Drive successful execution of MEP+S deliverables and overall project outcomes; scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Coordinate design across MEP+S disciplines and with project stakeholders leading other aspects of design and delivery.
  • Anticipate and identify potential issues and risks that may impact project implementation and assist the client and project management team with problem solving, issue resolution, risk mitigation and timely decision making.
  • Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller, or Company Controller and Department Manager for project reviews.
  • Monitor MEP+S team performance and establish robust QA/QC process to ensure all MEP+S services provided meet client expectations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
  • PE
  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing large multidiscipline traditional or design-bid-build projects.
  • Experience in pre-construction and construction services, including estimating, procurement, project controls, scheduling, and construction management.
  • Experience in the field as an on-site Project Manager with financial responsibility for project/loss performance. Experience in developing and negotiating construction contracts, developing and coordinating multiple bid packages in both design and construction.
  • Previous experience managing staff, clients, and contracts.


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification would be an asset
  • Additional assets include: functional familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCad, Revit, MS Project
  • LEED AP, Well, or experience in sustainable design
