In your role as a Project Manager, you will oversee projects that can have sizable teams and large expenditures. Establishing and maintaining the project's focus on meeting project commitments will be your everyday responsibility. You may work on several projects at once, therefore time management and prioritization abilities are essential. You must be a superb communicator to all staff levels and be well-organized.

To effectively complete the goals of IT and non-IT projects, you need to have experience with and be competent at arranging people into teams and activities into task schedules. You may work on a range of projects, such as projects including assessment and selection, software development, application development, implementation, and business process transformation. The Project Manager I will lead project team members in a matrix organization working with and through resource managers to ensure adequate project staffing levels and team performance.

How you will contribute:
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Work with Resource Coordinator to identify and assign project resources.
  • Estimate the hours needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Collaborate with Manager EPMO for continued project support and guidance.
  • Manage project development from initiation to successful close.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Continuously learn and collaborate with other Project Managers for overall growth and maturity of PMO.
  • Closely monitorstatusof projects and tasks assigned toteam, providing reports to IT leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years or more of project management or leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management or another field of study
  • 10 years or more of project management or leadership experience
  • Certification such as CPM or PMP
