Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their team in a critical role focused on post-implementation activities and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional project management skills and a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in post-implementation phases of projects, driving enhancements and optimizing processes to ensure long-term success. This is a hybrid position located in downtown Chicago.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts to evaluate the success and effectiveness of completed projects. Conduct thorough analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Gather feedback from stakeholders and team members to inform improvement strategies
  • Develop and implement strategies for ongoing improvement across processes, systems and workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for enhancement and efficiency gains. Drive initiatives to optimize performance, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions. Monitor performance metrics regularly and identify trends or deviations that may require intervention. Develop action plans to address performance issues and drive corrective actions
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs, concerns and expectations regarding implemented solutions. Build strong relationships and communicate effectively to ensure alignment on improvement priorities and initiatives
  • Maintain detailed documentation of post-implementation activities, including analysis findings, improvement plans and progress reports. Prepare and present regular status updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions for implemented enhancements. Develop communication plans and training materials to support adoption of new processes or systems. Address resistance to change and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Proactively identify potential risks and obstacles to successful post-implementation activities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges and minimize disruptions to operations

Project Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in post-implementation phases and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies
