Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR's Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.

This position will provide onsite support to our client at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, OK.

In the role of Project Manager General, we'll count on you to:

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule
  • Establish client relations and be involved with design and production meetings
  • Conduct work sessions for design development in conjunction with other staff
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
  • Support the other disciplines as needed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven years related experience, with a minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in professional engineering in a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
  • PE (Civil) in the state of Oklahoma
  • General background-related experience
  • Knowledge of design and construction of Department of Defense facilities
  • Knowledge of the Internal Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code and Unified Facilities Criteria
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule, Powerpoint)
  • Experience with AutoCad
  • Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Supervisory/Lead experience helpful
  • Good planning and mentoring skills
  • A license/certification
  • PMP certification

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
