General Summary/Overview Statement:

Working directly with the Program Director and other team members, the Project Manager, oversees the day-to-day operational activities of a large PCORI (Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute) project to improve outcomes in patients with Asthma. The Project Manager will also assist the Director of Stakeholder Engagement to vet any study related educational materials for patients. The role includes participating in the development, evaluation and revision of study materials, organizing face to face meetings with the operations team, stakeholder groups and special committees. The PM will oversee subject follow up, assist with IRB submissions and will work with the site assuring receipt of the final project materials. The Project Manager role includes the drafting of quarterly and interim reports in a timely manner.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Working with the Project Director, responsible for ensuring all program goals and related tasks and timelines for project implementation are being met and all logistics related to reporting are done in an efficient manner
  2. Contribute to the content and development of study-related tools, interventions, and educational material.
  3. Responsible for all aspects of pilot study organization; managing, coordinating, as well as building relationships with the study sites.
  4. Assisting the Director of Stakeholder Engagement, with all aspects of stakeholder engagement; managing, coordinating, and building strong relationships with patient partner advisors and advocacy patient groups, provider and professional society partners and health policy and scientific expert partners. Engagement will include collaborating with all team members to implement the project.
  5. Assures accurate and timely stakeholder and patient communication and feedback to all team members
  6. Manage logistical and administrative aspects of the project; compliance with Human Investigation Review Boards requests; assist with IRB procedures and writing of reports as needed; manage stakeholders and patient stipend
  7. Serve as a member of the Operations Committee
  8. Works with Principal Investigator, Project Director and Director of Stakeholder Engagement to perform other strategic and operational duties, as required


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  1. Masters in Public Health or in another Social Science discipline is desired OR a Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of five (5) years work experience in healthcare clinical research operations
  2. Experience with health-related, government-funded programs a plus
  3. Previous management or supervisory experience is desirable
  4. Knowledge of program management (focused on program outcomes), facilitating meetings and patient advisor engagement
  5. Experience in community health education, health promotion, and collaborating and implementing health-related community-based interventions
  6. Computer and internet proficient

  7. Must be flexible and able to manage a multi-faceted program with a self-directed work style, balanced with the ability to work collaboratively
