Position Summary & Duties: The Project Manager is an on-site position working for a refinery client in the Shreveport, LA area.

PROJECT MANAGER POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Lead the planning and implementation of project
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Develop full scale project plans
• Assemble and coordinate project staff
• Manage project budget
• Manage project resource allocation internally and externally through third-party engineering firms, vendors, and contractors
• Plan and schedule project timelines
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
• Provide direction and support to project team
• Quality assurance
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project
• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
• Project evaluations and assessment of results
• Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
• Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Elicits cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
• Learn, understand, and apply new technologies.


Qualifications:

PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited college. Other technical degrees or applicable experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time engineering consulting and/or capital project execution experience preferred.
• Experience in the Refinery industry is a plus. Experience in other industrial fields (i.e., Oil & Gas, Wood Products, Pulp & Paper, Specialty Chemicals, Renewables, Manufacturing, Material Handling) will also be considered.
• PMP certification is desired.
• Located within daily commuting distance of Shreveport, LA, or be willing to work on a long-term basis in Shreveport.
