Title: Project Manager - IT Infrastructure and M&A Integrations
Location: Atlanta, GA 30339 (Hybrid - onsite 2-3 days/week)
Duration: 6 month contract; extension/conversion possible
Compensation: $65-$75/hr

Skillset / Experience:
The IT Project Manager will lead IT infrastructure integration projects for newly acquired businesses and manage other IT infrastructure projects as assigned. This role requires managing various internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless integration and continued IT support.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Project Management
    • Lead and manage IT infrastructure integration projects following business acquisitions.
    • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sr. Manager IT Operations, Sr. Systems Engineer, Network Administrator), Enterprise IT teams and external vendors to ensure project goals are met.
    • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to the project steering team and executive management.
    • Report on project progress and generate executive status reports.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Oversee the integration of new acquisitions into the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user computing. Common technologies are VMWare virtualization, Windows Server and Client Operating Systems, Microsoft 365, Meraki LAN, Fortinet Firewalls, Etc.
    • Ensure the deployment and configuration of necessary hardware and software.
    • Collaborate with local IT (e.g., IT Site Manager, IT Support/Desktop Support) and others to ensure a smooth transition and operational continuity.
    • Oversee infrastructure refresh, including equipment procurement, setup, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management
    • Assist in the on-boarding of vendors for various project components.
    • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) if required.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
    • Report on financial performance and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance project delivery and infrastructure management.

Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience in M&A IT integration projects is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Skills
    • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles, including risk management, change management, and quality assurance.
    • Ability to develop comprehensive project plans and manage resources effectively.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Professional Certifications
    • PMP, ITIL, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with financial management around IT projects.
    • Familiarity with 24×7 manufacturing environments and related IT policies and procedures.
    • Ability to travel globally up to 30%.
    • Spanish language skills are a plus.
