Starting Salary Range: $84,000 - $120,000 - depending on experience Location: Everett, WAClassification: Exempt US Applicants Only General Position Summary :Develop, estimate, sell and manage multiple, specialized, fast-track mechanical construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Generate business plans and expand revenue base through marketing, sales, and business development. Train, mentor, and supervise Special Projects Group's Project Engineers. Support and collaborate with company superintendents, foreman, engineers, detailers, and management to deliver quality and profitable projects. Essential Job Functions :1. Take leadership role and ownership of estimates, project scoping, proposals, project safety and project execution while meeting or exceeding department profitability goals.2. Ability to provide conceptual HVAC and plumbing designs for estimating purposes.3. Understanding of mechanical systems costing and value analysis.4. Effective communication with UMC engineering staff to ensure complete designs that convey clear scope and scope within project established budget.5. Collaborate with and support UMC business development team to secure new business. 6. Develop and maintain client relations.7. Review job estimate of direct reports and prepare project budgets.8. Estimate and negotiate change orders.9. Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs.10. Buyout major equipment and subcontracts.11. Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials.12. Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract.13. Maintain and control documents in compliance with UMC Standards as well as contractual compliance.14. Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize and schedule project work including preparation of subcontract/contract integrated project schedule.15. Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications. 16. Prepare fabrication shop work package including detail drawing review, material take off and buyout, and man-hour fabrication budget.17. Ensure full compliance with UMC Safety Program at the jobsite.18. Provide proactive, clear, and timely communication to team members.19. Be professional and uphold UMC Core Values.20. Ability to accurately estimate mechanical work.2. Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment.3. Ability to understand and communicate basic mechanical concepts.4. Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, and AutoCAD Supervisory Responsibility : Supervise Special Projects Group's Project Engineers Education/ Experience Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job : • A minimum of five years' experience as a mechanical project manager • Construction Management or Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering degree desired • A minimum of three years' experience managing PM's and PE's. • Basic HVAC and plumbing engineering knowledge Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required : • Maintain a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.UMC is proud to be built on a foundation of 100+ years of consistent business growth. Paid Time Off:

Eligible employees begin accruing PTO as of their date of hire and accrual rates are based on years of service. Base annual accrual starts at 120 hours/15 days for full time status. PTO is a combination of sick and vacation accruals. UMC follows the required WA State Sick Leave guidelines and employees are provided (1) for every 40 hours worked as part of the PTO package. UMC also offers (7) paid holidays, plus (1) Floating Holiday to be used within the calendar year.
