Description
The Project Specialist is a key member of the UH Health Family Care Center team at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations and process improvement methodologies and a passion for driving operational excellence. This member is responsible for identifying areas of improvement, developing strategies to enhance efficiency, and implementing solutions that lead to measurable improvements in performance, working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze current processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend changes that align with our organizational goals. The role is also responsible for managing regulatory compliance with state and federal agencies.

Qualifications
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4- year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program or experience that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Preferred: Masters degree preferred. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

- Work with the clinic leadership to create and implement strategies, work plans, policies and procedures and documents to maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Conduct data analysis and problem-solving methodologies to identify trends and areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and adjust as necessary.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with process changes.
- Using data analysis to identify opportunities that will improve the health of our patients, improve the care that our patients receive, and/or lower the cost of care for our patients.
- Develop and present recommendations and alternatives for management and executive review.
- Provides analytical insights from data to drive strategic decisions.
