PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Project Supply Chain Director plays a critical role in leading all procurement-related activities on large-scale projects, ensuring the timely delivery of equipment, materials, and third-party contract services that meet quality and compliance standards. As part of Worley's commitment to creating a more sustainable world, the role focuses on implementing strategic procurement practices that align with both project needs and the organization's sustainability goals. This position involves collaboration across functions to drive innovation and cost-effective solutions while supporting project timelines and budget requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Procurement Plan for major projects, identifying key equipment, materials, and third-party services required.
  • Establish and manage relationships with approved vendors, ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals, including sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee the preparation and issuance of requests for quotation (RFQ) packages to vendors, ensuring clear communication of project requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor bids, lead negotiations, and prepare recommendations for award in line with cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, supporting the overall project schedule.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve procurement objectives and support the broader goals of the organization.
  • Lead and mentor supply chain teams, fostering a cooperative and participative management approach that aligns with Worley's mission of delivering sustainable change.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of procurement policies, processes, and systems to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL SET
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in supply chain management or procurement, ideally with 20+ years of experience in large-scale projects within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex procurement processes, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and sustainability objectives.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make independent recommendations for long-term planning and project execution.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives that support organizational goals, including sustainability targets.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing senior-level management and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in systems, processes, and tools relevant to procurement and supply chain management, with the ability to lead the development of new processes and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.
