One of Insight Global's clients has an immediate opening for a full-time, position in McLean, Virginia, for a Project Support Technician, supporting technical projects related to the design and production of specialty transportation platforms. Position will also be a key person managing Quality Control of our new builds.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in a complex industrial facility with a significant technical training and experience. Skilled at applying innovative, problem-solving approaches to technical challenges. A natural, confident teammate with self-starting instincts, great communication skills and no reluctance to act independently will fit perfectly into the culture.
Responsibilities
Project Management:
o Support multiple projects, coordinating with stakeholders and team mates to ensure success.
o Leverage experience, communication and technical skills to ensure project success.
o Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
o Initiate and update status reports - track and monitor project progress
o Support program and project team meetings
o Monitor all project related communications to escalate key issues and present options for resolution to leadership.
Quality Control:
o Ensure quality control best practices are applied throughout the design, build, test process of our specialized product.
o Inspect CakeBoxx build projects to ensure units meet all required specifications.
Engineer Administration Support:
o Support in the research and development of new concepts for product design.
o Ensure documentation remains in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
o Support Technical Data Package development.
o Support the Engineering Change Management process and documentation

Required Skills & Experience
Skills and Qualifications
Familiar with Quality Control/Quality Assurance practices.
Familiarity with ISO 9001
Education and/or experience in a technical field.
Familiarity in Non-Destructive Test analysis
Familiarity with Engineering drawings and schematics
Basic CAD capability a plus
5 years plus years direct experience in a industrial or technical industry such as defense/aerospace or manufacturing or shipyard. (new product development; manufacturing; product rollout and IOC and FOC fielding)
General knowledge of manufacturing/repair techniques materials, and quality control processes
Acute attention to detail
Tact, punctuality, loyalty and strong sense of responsibility and accountability
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
