Position Summary:

The Renewable Concepts company is seeking a Project/Financial Analyst who will report directly to the Segment Controller. The primary responsibilities of this role include maintaining the project control environment for assigned divisions. This involves implementing and overseeing processes, procedures, tools and reports to support project management. The Project/Financial Analyst will also educate project teams on the established processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ensure consistent adherence to business processes and procedures.
  • Approve and reconcile weekly payroll in RPTS
  • Process technician's expense reports.
  • Ability to critically analyze project processes and evaluate against best practices .
  • Analytical skills sufficient to explain and support the facts and status of a particular project to the field team, as well as the Renewable Concepts Management Team.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of project analysis and reporting, including:
  • Cost analysis (e.g., actual incurred vs. forecast/budget),
  • Hours analysis (e.g., actual incurred vs. forecast/budget),
  • Estimate to Complete / overall Estimate at Completion development and assumption validation,
  • Percent complete review and validation,
  • Purchase commitment (e.g., actual commitment vs. forecast/budget), and
  • Risk identification, analysis, quantification, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Must be able to analyze large amounts of field data (percent completion, performance to schedule) and financial data (accounts payable, receivable) and produce informative reports for management.
  • Prepare project-related billing.
  • Reasonable sense of standard commercial terms.
  • Administering Contract database
  • Supporting project teams in day-to-day trouble shooting including
  • Time collection issues with RPTS
  • Project analysis and reporting .
  • Team-oriented, able to work and contribute to a multi-skilled, multi-experienced group.
  • Understanding of the key financial statements and the supporting general ledger.
  • Prepare certain general ledger reconciliations.
  • Collect sales tax certificates for projects and conduct sales tax research.
  • Assist and reconcile credit card and fuel receipt coding.


Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Understanding the project management process, including estimation, cost management, schedule development, change management, project controls (including project administration), billing, and subcontracting.
  • Ability to identify risks.
  • Experience in participating in diverse and remote project teams.
  • Must be a self-motivator.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including people, listening, and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong organizational skills


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required; MSA or MBA is a plus
Experience: 2-5 years' experience (preferably in the construction industry, project accounting, FP&A, or public accounting-audit only)
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products required; Costpoint preferred
Certificates & Licenses: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus

The base pay range for this Finance Analyst is $59,750-$78,500
