Provider Enrollment Specialist provides direct support, organization and completion of all initial and renewal provider enrollment process for all government and commercial payors of Baptist Health Employed Providers who maintain billing privileges. Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for maintaining provider enrollment and credentialing data in an organized and efficient manner in order to provide consistent operational processes and minimize the time needed to secure proper payor provider numbers. Responsibilities include: provider enrollment application preparation, finalization, submission, follow up and resolution; communication between Practice Managers and Billing Managers on approvals and status of applications; Coordination of onboarding of new providers; administrative file maintenance and official recordkeeping; Proactive monitoring of renewal period.Description

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Minimum 3 years of applicable work experience in professional and or healthcare environment required.
  • Experience with Provider Enrollment with insurance carriers preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail and focus on accuracy of information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Efficient computer application skills, including online submission and database maintenance.
  • Strong verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with physician staff, management, and co workers.
  • Must work effectively with Physicians, Practice Managers, and Management.
  • Must be familiar with healthcare AR revenue cycle management, preferably in a physician environment, and what is required to attain optimal collection performance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize based on need.
