The Menninger Clinic is seeking a Staff Psychiatrist or Child Psychiatrist to join our excellent team of professionals.

Job Duties

The Staff Psychiatrist will be responsible for evaluating and managing assigned patients. This includes coordinating and monitoring utilization management, planning, and coordinating the transition of patients through the continuum of care and maintaining appropriate communication with required agencies and individuals throughout treatment. These services may be delivered individually or within an interdisciplinary team setting. The Staff Psychiatrist will be able to work alongside trainees in psychiatry, psychology, social work, mental health counselors, and nursing.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have an M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of an approved residency in general psychiatry; board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or pass the examination for board certification in psychiatry within three years of graduation from residency. Child Psychiatrists must meet the above qualifications, be board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or pass the examination for board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry within three years of graduation from fellowship. Must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, possess knowledge of therapeutic modalities employed by team members and the assigned clinical program, and current CPR certification. Preferred: current license to practice medicine in Texas.
