Description

Provides complex mental health services to the campus community, including individual, couples and group counseling and therapy; crisis intervention; and, supervision and training of doctoral interns and graduate students in counseling and clinical psychology. Provides leadership in consultation and outreach services and psychological assessments.
  1. Provides individual, couples and group counseling to students, staff and faculty.
  2. Responsible for outreach/consultation services to the campus community, and serves as a guide to lower level counselors.
  3. Provides intake and on-call services to clients with personal, vocational and academic concerns.
  4. Performs psychological/psycho-educational assessments and recommends suitable services.
  5. Maintains appropriate case documentation, supervision and evaluation records.
  6. Serves on university committees and participates in university programs as requested by supervisor.
  7. Conducts training/assessment seminars; provides orientation; teaches classes.
  8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Doctoral and 1 year experience

Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP)Completed one year full-time supervised internship in APA-Accredited college or university counseling center or other relevant setting or one year postdoctoral. Eligible to become a licensed psychologist in the State of Texas or newly licensed (1-3 years).Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
