PT Evening Restaurant Server

Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is accepting applications for PT Restaurant Server for evening shifts at Shula's Steakhouse restaurant.

The Hilton Short Pump is owned and operated by Shamin Hotels, central Virginia's largest hotel management company. Having tripled in size to 75 full and select service hotels over the past ten years, we own and operate hotels under the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, InterContinental and Choice flags.

Restaurant Server Job Duties

• Provide excellent service to all guests, consistently meeting Hilton and Shula's standards
• Set-up side station and performs side work as assigned
• Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating
• Informs guests of daily specials and chef's specialties
• Takes guests orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Place orders with kitchen; inform cooks about special cooking instructions
• Serves beverages and meals
• Performs quality check to ensure guest satisfaction
• Suggests and serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks
• Verifies accuracy for prices, tips and other charges on all checks
• Handles cash and credit card charges according
• Clear and reset tables when the guests have left the restaurant.
• Keeps table, dining room and bus station areas clean at all times
• Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
• Attends pre-shift line-up as requested by the Supervisor or Service Director
• Reviews and turns in Z report with correct cash drop and credit card slips
• Performs other tasks as required.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant/hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
• The position requires the capability to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
• Must have a passion for hospitality and food service.
• Must be willing to live up to the high standards or guest service and conduct expected of Shula's Steakhouse, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Shamin Hotels.
• Must have flexibility to work various schedules as business demands, including nights, weekends and holidays.
