About the team
The Global Public Policy team's work spans a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy, product, and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.

Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a strategic engagement plan with international organizations such as the United Nations, World Economic Forum, OECD, and others, to position TikTok as a key partner in addressing global challenges and advancing digital policy discussions.
2. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within these organizations, including senior leadership, policy experts, and program managers, to identify partnership opportunities and drive collaboration.
3. Represent TikTok at major global conferences and events organized by international organisations, advocating for TikTok's policies and initiatives, and leveraging these platforms to raise awareness of TikTok's contributions to the global community.
4. Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, including Public Policy, Trust & Safety, Communications, CSR, Legal, and Product, to align engagement efforts with TikTok's broader strategic objectives.
5. Stay abreast of emerging policy trends and developments at the international level, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders on potential implications for TikTok's business and operations.
6. Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and presentations for senior executives to support their participation in high-level engagements and events with international organizations and forums.
7. Track and measure the impact of engagement activities, including monitoring key metrics and outcomes, and regularly report on progress to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Substantial experience in global public policy, government relations, international affairs, or a related field, with a focus on engaging with international organizations and multilateral institutions. Prior experience collaborating closely with international organizations or multilateral institutions on significant initiatives is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders in the public sector, international organizations, or multinational corporations, within a multi-stakeholder setting.
- Strong understanding of global policy issues related to technology, digital governance, privacy, and content regulation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive engagement plans that support business objectives.
- Strong aptitude for cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to foster consensus and cultivate relationships within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or a related field.
- Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures.
