Position Summary

Bay FC is seeking an excellent communicator, writer, and sports PR professional for the role of Public Relations Coordinator. The position will report to the Director of Public Relations and support the day-to-day PR responsibilities for football/soccer operations. This position will assist with public relations activities, including media relations, managing the press box, game notes, player and coach interviews, and more. This is a full-time position and will be required to work nights and weekends, including all home and away games (away games remotely). Ideally this position has previous PR experience with a professional sports team.

Responsibilities
  • Draft press releases, game notes, and annual media guide
  • Perform game day media tasks including preparing the press box and assisting with postgame media interviews
  • Assist with set-up and follow through of player appearances and media interviews
  • Track and support media credential requests for home games
  • Manage and distribute daily media coverage clips and create quarterly media coverage analytics reports
  • Work all home and away games, including preseason, regular season and playoffs, and events as necessary Support Director of Public Relations and Executive Vice President of Communications and Government Relations for player and coach interviews at training and virtually
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least one year of professional experience in public relations
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop is a plus
  • Strong creative, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the rules of soccer; experience in sports and soccer preferred, but not necessary
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a team dynamic
  • Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends. Position is required to work all home and away games


Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $70,000-$80,000. Actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
