The Atlanta Vibe, Atlanta's first professional volleyball team, is seeking a dedicated PR Intern to join our communications team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports PR while supporting game day operations and working closely with our PR staff.

Atlanta Vibe Pro Volleyball is Atlanta's premier professional volleyball team, competing in the Professional Volleyball Federation. The team embodies passion, teamwork, and dedication to the sport, aiming to showcase the best of Atlanta on the national stage.

Role Description

This is a hybrid role for a Public Relations Intern at Atlanta Vibe Pro Volleyball. This position provides hands-on experience in the professional sports industry and is ideal for those wanting to pursue a career in communications, PR, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with game day PR operations, including live communications, media coordination, and press relations.
  • Write post-game recaps, player features, and other written content for media distribution and the team's official channels.
  • Collaborate with the PR team to support interviews, draft press releases, and contribute to the development of articles and media materials.
  • Help manage and facilitate media requests, ensuring smooth communication between the team and press.
  • Support the execution of media events and assist in organizing player and coach interviews.
  • Maintain an organized database of PR materials and press contacts.

Requirements:
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of volleyball and sports terminology is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work on-site during game days.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with media communications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
