What You'll Do:

Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio Homeland Security

Report In Location: 2855 W. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235

Work Hours: 12:00AM to 12:00AM Rotating Shifts 24/7 - Working days & hours may vary (working hours will include nights, weekends & holidays, based on operational need).

(CURRENTLY HYBRID ELIGIBLE) This position will report into the office 3 days a week and telework 2 days a week. Subject to change.

At the direction of the Ohio Homeland Security (OHS) Public Safety Intel Administrator of the Statewide Terrorism Analysis & Crime Center (STACC) on behalf of the OHS Executive Director plans & directs the analysis & pro-duction within the State Fusion Center & supervises public safety intelligence analysts (e.g., analysts who assess local implications of time-sensitive & emerging threat information; identify the dissemination of time-sensitive & emerging threat information to all homeland security partners; gather locally-generated information based on time-sensitive & emerging threats); Supervises daily operations, production, & training of all Public Safety Intelligence Analysts & additional cybersecurity-related staff assigned to the Cyber Center; Establish priorities & supervise subordinate personnel (e.g. provide developmental opportunities & work direction, coach staff to foster development, monitor staff activities to ensure quality customer service & information technology security, evaluate performance, approve section staffing levels, recommend discipline, pre-screen applications & participate in interviews); Oversees & coordinates policies developed by public safety intelligence analysts to ensure consistency & efficiency (e.g., policies & protocols for state & local governmental entities in homeland security, cybersecurity, & protection of critical infrastructure & resources in the State of Ohio); Develops & implements all homeland security/cybersecurity intelligence production & training (e.g., processes for analysts to prepare &/or revise manuals, policies, programs, proposed rules, regulations &/or directives pertaining directly to fusion center; processes for analysts to independently review & analyze problems related to sophisticated &/or complex cyber-related activity from other STACC units & user agency personnel; processes for analysts to prepare intelligence reports, products, & briefings for presentation).

Utilizes state vehicle to travel to various locations & transport equipment (e.g., laptop, etc.) in order to make presentations &/or collect, research & analyze intelligence information & other resources to determine patterns, trends & movements of terrorists &/or professional criminals to aid law enforcement agencies with investigations; Ensures & is responsible for auditing & compliance with 28 Code of Federal Regulations (i.e., 28 CFR); Attends meetings; briefs & provides advice to public officials (e.g., Department of Public Safety Director, State HSA); Support various OHS programs; Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
48 mos. exp conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.

-Or completion of graduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field; 12 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.

-or 12 mos. exp. as Public Safety Intelligence Analyst , 64931.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
