Overview

Responsible for the operations of the CCTV Surveillance Monitoring Room and equipment during shift in order to ensure the safety of the guests and employees, and the integrity and assets of the facilities and company. This includes close-watch monitoring of the entire facility for safety hazards, unsafe conditions, criminal activity, door alarms, policy and procedural violations, guest service issues, and employee activities. Reporting all potential issues to appropriate internal and/or external authorities as prescribed by established protocol(s) AC Convention Center - Grave Shift

This role will pay an hourly wage of $21.61.

Responsibilities
  • Operate digital video surveillance equipment to maintain close-watch surveillance of building activities, utilizing equipment to identify, record and document illegal and unusual activities as directed by Management.
  • Report potential illegal or life threatening activity immediately to ACPD or ACFD according to established protocols.
  • Coordinates activities of Public Safety staff in response to potential or real emergency situations.
  • Completes all logs and reports required carefully, accurately and with appropriate detail.
  • Schedules, set, monitor and react to Door Alarms in conjunction with the Card Access System.
  • Follow established Spectra and department rules of conduct, including safeguarding access to the Monitor Room and the confidentiality of all information and observations.
  • Maintain proper operation of all equipment in Surveillance office.
  • Troubleshoot system failures as needed and act as liaison to System Provider for repairs and maintenance as directed.
  • Review cameras daily and report any inoperable cameras to the manager
  • Set alarm modules and program modules for specific event modes as directed
  • Ensure call-out procedures are followed and documented and all shifts covered for Public Safety by following established protocol and/or reporting staffing issues to Manager.
  • Ensure no unauthorized persons enter the surveillance room/area and that no employees take breaks in the room/area.
  • Take appropriate, prescribed actions in the event of an emergency.
  • Follow and enforce established safety and security procedures.
  • Follow and enforce established rules of conduct
  • All duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Provide friendly and helpful service to all customers, clients, the public and other employees
  • Complete and file accurate and detailed reports on activity during the shift.
  • Take further and immediate action to correct conditions as needed.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Previous experience as a Security Guard and/or cashier or similar position preferred.
  • Flexibility to work required hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to physically perform the duties required of this position.
  • Capable or oral and written communications skills.
  • Basic computer skills including navigating keyboard and simple data entry.
  • Respond well to direction, able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and to follow procedures and policies under pressure and in emergency situations.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
