Work schedule: Monday- Friday, no weekends or holidays

JOB PURPOSE:
All aspects of the Pulmonary Diagnostic Laboratory.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, or higher.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care as an CPFT, RPFT, or RRT.
Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners as a Respiratory Care Professional.
Qualifications:
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS Certification.
CPFT/RPFT preferred.
Excellent clinical decision making skills and critical thinking to assess patient care, good verbal and written communication skill, proficient with Windows-based computer applications and email.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Pulmonary Function Testing
2. Arterial Blood Gas Laboratory
3. Pulmonary Rehabilitation
4. Bronchoscopy Assist.
5. Manages Cost.
6. Medication Administration.
7. Completes Documentation.
8. Performs patient/ family education.
9. Contributes to quality outcomes.
10. Quality Improvement Functions

Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
