The Pharmacy Purchasing Agent is responsible for the medication and supply procurement processes for the Department of Pharmacy.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years or more of experience in pharmacy technician. Knowledge of medical center policies/procedures, pharmaceutical brand & generic names/categories, extensive typing & word processing skills, excellent writing skills, pharmacy technician/administrative skills, experience in complex work situations, ability to establish & maintain effective relation. CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) acquired from PTCB or NHA. GA Pharmacy Technician License (or eligible).

Preferred Requirements

1 year or more of experience in pharmacy contract or purchasing related work. Pharmacy purchasing and clerical experience.
