Purchasing Manager, Specialty Pharmaceuticals

Purpose of Position
Oversees Specialty Pharmaceuticals Purchasing program, works to ensure regulatory compliance in sterile compounding.

Description
1. Reviews and processes replenishment orders of pharmaceuticals.

2. Reconciles and updates pricing of Specialty purchased pharmaceuticals.

3. Optimizes purchases by class of trade.

4. Maximizes GPO contract compliance.

5. Ensures Specialty Pharmaceuticals Purchasing program compliance.

6. Facilitates CCHC sites with onboarding to program as needed.

7. Optimizes net revenue for outpatient pharmaceuticals.

8. Oversees all aspects of USP 797 compliance for CCH and FH.

9. Maintains the medication inventory, proactively processing returns as needed.

10. Facilitates training and orientation of new pharmacy personnel in areas of sterile compounding.

11. Maintains appropriate records and regulatory documentation.

12. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and coworkers.

13. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Pharmacy or PharmD required

· Registered Pharmacist licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy required

· Graduate degree preferred

· Previous Management experience preferred

· Must have very good verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Must be able to travel both within and outside the organization (using own personal transportation) in carrying out position responsibilities.

· Completion of ASHP Certificate program in Pharmacy Revenue Cycle within 1 year of hire
