Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Purchasing team as the Purchasing & Storeroom Attendant at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily receipt of all incoming food and beverage purchase orders, as well as, non-food orders; checking temperature of all incoming trucks making sure they are in regulation; make sure all food items are brought upstairs to the kitchen in a timely manner; weigh all catch weight items to compare the pounds being received to the pounds being charged on invoices.
  • Fill all incoming food and beverage departmental requisitions and notifying departments when their requisitions are filled and brought to the department
  • Fill all beverage requisitions-bottle for bottle
  • Conduct inventories of food, dairy, soda and paper items for ordering purposes twice a week
  • Enforcing the FIFO rule at all times; making sure all stock is rotated properly; ensuring all the storerooms are clean and organized
  • Walk all storerooms throughout the hotel weekly to ensure what items are being stored and the rooms are clean and organized
  • Assist with the breakdown and storing of pallets of products
  • Assist with receiving in Birch Street when help is needed

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00

  • Good communication and mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day
  • Takes pride in a great job done
  • Proven ability to handle a large workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, organization and computer skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with food and beverage inventory is preferred
