Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Python Developer to join our team and play a key role in our market data infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in market data systems and financial markets to build and maintain critical solutions that support our risk management efforts.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement market data solutions using Python to support stress testing initiatives like full revaluation for Global Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk teams.
  • Collaborate with quantitative analysts (Quants) to ensure the market data infrastructure aligns with their analytical needs and technological advancements.
  • Partner with various business units to promote consistent usage of market data and drive adoption of data and technology enhancements.
  • Work closely with support teams (Middle Office, Finance, Risk, Audit) to guarantee market data and technology advancements meet their control requirements.
  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) for our internal market data systems. You will lead the migration away from legacy platforms and assist clients transitioning to new systems. This includes participating in requirements gathering, workflow design, story writing, and representing the market data team in product management discussions.
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Python Developer (3+ years preferred).
  • Deep understanding of market data systems, including data ingestion, processing, and distribution.
  • Familiarity with capital markets or banking operations (a plus).
  • Understanding of internal analytics workflows and their reliance on market data (a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Quartz scheduling framework and/or GDA (or similar market data access library).
  • Experience working in a financial services environment.
