What's the Job?

Experis is seeking a Python Machine Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract to join our team. As part of a dynamic Research & Development environment, the candidate will:
  • Program robots and automated machinery using Python.
  • Create interactive web pages using Python and React for machine interaction.
  • Design and develop databases and JSON APIs to support automated systems.
  • Provide feedback on product design and specification processes.
  • Develop, debug, test, implement, and enhance software programs in agricultural research automation. What's Needed?
  • 5+ years of programming experience, with 2+ years of hands-on Python development.
  • Proficiency in SQL Query Development and Relational Database Design.
  • Experience in JSON API development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred (but not required) Qualifications:
  • Experience with PLC - Structured Text/Ladder Logic.
  • Familiarity with FastAPI, Socket.IO, and Vue.js.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in Git source control. What's in it for me?
