- ob Description:We are looking for an individual who would be responsible for the following:
- Collecting and analyzing power test results on Mac platforms
- Identifying and isolating issues using debugging and data analysis skills
- Writing test reports and communicating identified issues
- Designing tests and test plans to assess power impact of new HW/SW features
- Unboxing and setting up on average 10-20 new Mac systems each month
- Maintain lab test equipment and infrastructure as requested by the team
- Prioritizing tasks and communicating status regularly to the team
- On-going documentation of test processes for future reference
Must-HaveSkills
- BS EE/CS or 3+ years QA test experience
- Knowledge of Mac hardware and/or macOS
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deep dive technically
- Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to concisely present complex data
- Familiarity in Python or shell scripting to support basic automation scripting
PreferredSkills
- Experience in testing HW
- Understanding of computer architecture, EE fundamentals, and concepts of power consumption and power management
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Familiar with lab equipment like DMMs and power meters
- Adjust to a fast-paced environment with changing prioritie
