Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Norfolk, VA

Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00PM-11:30PM w/ OT opportunity

Training Horus: Monday-Friday 6:00AM - 3:30PM w/ OT opportunity

Pay: Depends on Experience

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal Quality Assurance Technician will have previous experience in quality assurance within a food production environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential to ensure the integrity and safety of our products.

Responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Technician:

• Conduct routine inspections of materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to minimize defects and ensure product consistency.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Document and maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities and findings.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and support to staff on quality assurance protocols and best practices.

Requirements of a Quality Assurance Technician:

• Previous experience in quality assurance within a food production environment is required.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) certification is a plus.
