General Summary....

The Quality Control Clerk is responsible for counting physical inventories of finished goods in accordance with Cycle Counting Procedures and Policies. The goal is to count all inventories locations within a specified period of time. Comparisons are made between the physical inventories appearing in a location verses what appears in WMS. Additionally, the QA Clerk is responsible for randomly QA checking a pre-determined number of outbound shipments daily.

This position will be responsible for.....

  • Operate specific material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required. Use radio frequency equipment functions as required
  • Physically count the number of LPN's in the location and compare to Scale.
  • Identify the product code and compare with Scale.
  • Count the number of cases on a skid and compare with Scale.
  • Document information on a Cycle Count Verification sheet. Forward all count sheets to the Inventory Clerk daily.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Randomly select the required number of outbound shipments to verify that all quality assurance standards are being met. The inspection will verify the completeness, accuracy, visual quality of the product, stretch-wrap, pallets and required ASN labels.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and one (1)year of experience involved in performing work in a warehouse that requires theuse of various warehouse practices
  • Knowledge of inventory managementprocedures and general warehousing terminology and practices
  • Skills in mathematics, personal computers,and related applications are vital
  • Interpersonal and communication skillsare important
  • Experience with and ability to operatematerial handling equipment, electric pallet jack experience preferred
  • Must be capable of repetitive lifting ofup to 50 lbs; must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time;ability to bend, stretch and reach
  • Ability to read, write, and speakEnglish
  • Ability to count accurately, do simplemath and write legibly
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF)equipment is preferred
  • Strong sense of urgency; flexibility inmeeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employmentdrug screen and background check.
  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.

  • Strongteam player
