Quality Control Media Technician

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Media Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining media required for Quality Control testing. 

This role ensures that all testing materials are prepared according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and are readily available for laboratory use. 

The technician will also maintain supply inventory, monitor equipment, and perform cleaning and disinfection tasks.




Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare media and sterile supplies in accordance with SOPs to ensure accurate and timely QC testing.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, steam kettles, and bottle washers.
• Ensure accurate documentation of laboratory activities, including data capture and inventory logs.
• Monitor media and replenish supplies to prevent testing delays.
• Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols.
• Perform routine equipment monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Maintain an organized supply of consumables and track inventory accurately.
• Assist with other duties as assigned within the position scope.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Basic math and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Prior experience working with laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, steam kettles, and bottle washers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
