Job Description

The Quality Control Specialist II is primarily responsible for ensuring quality on closed mortgage loan files. This position will intake executed closing documents from the Title Company and review to ensure all documentation was executed within investor guidelines. The Quality Control Specialist II will serve at the main point of contact for error correction on any document errors identified. This position is also responsible for registering loans with MERS and paying upfront fees for Conventional Mortgage Insurance.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will oversee post-closing pipeline reports, ensure timely receipt of executed loan documents, and communicate with Title Companies about outstanding loan packets.
  • You will log closed loan files daily, print Investor Assignments, prepare Notes for Loan Delivery, and forward documents for Imaging.
  • You will log and track document errors in LOS and coordinate with the Closing Department and Title Company to resolve them.
  • You will review all BOKF, NA loan closing documents for complete and accurate execution, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • You will handle the payment and reconciliation of Upfront CONV Mortgage Insurance fees, track check requests, and ensure the activation of customer Mortgage Insurance.
  • You will manage loans requiring MIN/MERS by accurately registering them in the MERS system, transferring rights to investors, and deactivating them as needed.
  • You will track Second Lien Files and Collateral, send files to the bank within 10 days of closing, and monitor bank reports for outstanding items.


Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate's Degree in Business or related field and 1 year mortgage operations experience or 4 years equivalent work related experience mortgage banking.

  • Working knowledge of mortgage lending; FHA, VA, FHLMC, FNMA, FMHA loan

    guidelines.

  • Working knowledge of mortgage loan documentation underwriting and closing requirements

  • Good understanding and knowledge of Bank's quality control policy and procedures

  • Good PC and software application skills; ability to operate 10-key by touch

  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Good organization skills and detail oriented
