The Role
The Quality Department's core purposes are to ensure that the services we provide and the products we install meet the design intent so that people will love them and to reduce organizational spend by identifying and reducing inefficiencies caused by operations errors and product defects. We react to issues by containing, identifying root cause, and determining corrective actions to prevent recurrence while proactively identifying and mitigating risks to improve capability and capacity of operations through new methods, tools, or material.

You will review national level defects that occur independent of install location and are systematic in nature. Your purpose is to determine potential risks & drive resolution of high-risk issues into process controls, establish & maintain control plans to assure critical features are controlled & monitored, and establish criteria for audits and controls based on product specification & process critical requirements. You will drive weekly CAPA with key stakeholders across Engineering, Deployment, Service, Training, and more. You must be a problem-solver at your core, have a strong quality & customer-focused mindset, and have the personal drive & stamina for relentless, continual improvement, both personally and professionally.



Responsibilities
  • Perform and lead problem solving activities of quality issues through tracking metrics, prioritizing top issues, conducting root cause investigation, and developing/implementing preventative & corrective actions with cross-functional team
  • Work with Engineering/Manufacturing on product specifications, Deployment/Service on KPI's & install process specifications, Training/Technical Content on quality content, Data on reporting, and Process/Software on business processes & online/mobile applications
  • Lead and maintain PFMEA & Control Plans to determine potential risks and assure how to control them, such as implementing Quality Key Points for visual inspection in quality audits
  • Lead Containment activity of non-conforming material by determining appropriate suspect range to quarantine and providing instructions on how to review and dispose material
  • Establish criteria for job/call audits conducted by Quality Operations
  • Ability and willingness to travel (5-10%)

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in industrial energy system design requirements, electrical code (NEC, NFPA 70), construction techniques, and in reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Demonstrated success in applying quality problem solving methods such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc
  • Ability to clearly distill actionable insights and support hypothesis with data
  • Ability to project manage cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable with basic SQL and MS office programs or equivalent cloud-based computing programs
  • Strong oral & written communication skills and organization & documentation skills for weekly presentations reports

      $72,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
