Position: Quality Engineer III

Duties: Supports code development for eCommerce projects by participating in project team meetings to develop project plans; reviewing project requirements; providing insight to software developers regarding project quality requirements; and providing guidance regarding code development to ensure testability and reliability. Performs quality assurance testing for large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and software by collaborating with project teams to establish test cases and requirements; writing test cases (for example, white, gray, or black box) in accordance with project requirements and established standards; obtaining test case approval from the project team; applying test case instructions to products under testing; executing test cases; evaluating results against expected results; and updating project teams regarding results and needed fixes. Develops software quality assurance (SQA) test plans for assigned projects by determining exact testing scope for assigned projects; determining data and environmental requirements; identifying dependencies and risks; and determining schedule of test deliverables. Participates in small- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; assisting in the writing and developing of code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs. Provides solutions for coding errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; developing unit testing plans to test code; developing testing requirements based on code functionality; analyzing testing results to determine needed fixes; querying application logs and databases and checking configuration files to troubleshoot issues encountered during testing; resolving minor code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience in quality engineering or related experience OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience in quality engineering or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: gathering and analyzing business requirements from product owner/Scrum master and providing feedback in architecture sync up calls, sprint planning and retrospective meetings; designing and developing test data driven framework using page object model design patterns, object-oriented programming concepts, behavior driven development (Cucumber) and creating reusable components; creating JMeter test scripts and performing load testing of services using JMeter automation, Splunk, and Kubernetes; performing data validation testing by writing SQL queries in different dB's like DB2, Unix/Linux, Cosmos DB & Informix to check the data from source and target; creating the test strategy, including preparing the test approach, test optimization plan, test scenarios in JIRA and effort distribution in an agile methodology; implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous development process (CICD) by integrating test automation code from GIT Hub with integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo and Looper; developing test automation scripts using Rest Assured Java library, Postman, TestNG, Cucumber & Gherkin, Java, and SoapUI Groovy; performing Smoke & Sanity testing, end to end testing, integration testing, performance testing (JMeter), regression testing, Blackbox testing, and user acceptance testing for every release; participating in team meetings and prioritizing daily and weekly deliverables and status updates to QA lead, Manager & offshore teams.
