Collins Aerospace is looking for a Quality Engineer who will provide project management support to various quality strategic initiatives in the Quality organization. You will manage the deployment of new Quality initiatives and support in Riverside Aerostructures Group (ASG).

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work within a cross functional team supporting the Quality organization by managing and driving to closure of their activities and schedules.
  • Supporting build-to-order products
  • Improve processes and drive actions that come out of Continuous Improvement events
  • Travel to manufacturing sites to assist in quality CI events
  • Running and driving regular meetings with the Quality Leadership to understand status and open issues.
  • Coordinate and oversee schedules to ensure on-time delivery of Quality deliverables.
  • Track deliverables and action items between suppliers, customer and Collins Aerospace.
  • Create and maintain visual controls for management status meetings.
  • Support PPAP implementation & progression


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
  • Working experience of Quality and Continuous Improvement tools
  • Experience communicating and making presentations to senior level leadership.
  • Experience with AS9100 requirements
  • Experience with RRCAs (Relentless Root Cause Analysis)
  • ERP experience
  • Experience with MS Excel and creating MS PowerPoint presentations
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally when circumstances permit
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a central quality or manufacturing organization
  • Experience leading RRCAs
  • Experience with SAP, CATIA etc.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent or ACE
  • Project Engineering background
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • APQP experience (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
