JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the day to-day responsibility of customer and supplier quality assurance, management and resolution of non-conformances, and the development of the quality management system. This individual will be the technical expert surrounding the quality aspect of our products. This position will work closely with purchasing, inventory control, production, sales, and shipping.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborates with Technical Operations, Component and Sustaining Engineering groups to resolve failure modes attributed to supplier or internal quality, manufacturing or design related deficiencies and make corrective recommendations
  • May also lead or participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Be able to inspect product at receiving inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection and out-of-box inspections
  • Participate in new product development
  • Sustaining Quality Engineering support for current production activities.
  • Initiate, approve, implement ECO/ECRs
  • Maintain integrity of our Quality Management System (NCMR, CAR, customer complaints, PCN, etc).
  • Establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error rate
  • Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
  • Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods
  • Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests
  • Participate in the production planning of new products
  • Coordinates the Material Review Board (MRB) meeting
  • Work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, adversity and change
  • Ability to complete the assignment on schedule
  • Support organizational metrics to indicate individual and departmental performance to requirements.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned .
JOB QUALIFICATION:
Education Experience
  • College Degree in Industrial Engineering or related sciences

Work History:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Quality Engineer

Required Skills
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the organization
  • Ability to be a participating member, interface with and manage cross functional diverse teams, facilitate work processes and motivation activities for employees
  • Good foundation in statistical analysis
  • Good computer skills relative to Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication / reporting and interpersonal skills
  • Quality Engineering Ability to find route cause and develop and action plan with timelines to resolve.
  • Be able to analyze report and take action based on the input received
  • CQE or other quality and regulatory certificates are beneficial
