Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead site Quality Assurance and Quality Control initiatives.
• Ownership of an area of the workshop including management of the Quality KPI's for that area. Collecting and displaying relevant data to the workshop in a usuable format to support Quality improvement needs. Leading a ritual meeting with cross functional participation to communicate status and potential actions.
• Participate in Industrial Change Board (ICB). Knowledge of industrial change processes (PPAP). Support manufacturing documentation reviews. Participate in APQP risk review during industrial change launch. Support and participate in PFMEA reviews with Engineering.
• Full understanding of how to manage non-conformity treatment on the shop floor in order to train Quality Line Technicians in their daily role. Assist QLT's on difficult or non-standard issues. Can accurrately understand the technical standards and know the appropriate interfaces (Design Office) to disposition non-conformities.
• Working knowledge of Quality software to support quality performance management.
• Participate in internal and external audits. Ability to pilot specific actions from audit findings in a timely manner. Conducting gemba walk (in applicable area). Conducting product / process audits and able to detect anomaly. Participating in the analysis of anomalies detected.
• Able to understand and use RCCA tools (Ishikawa, 5 why's, 8D's). Lead multi-functional teams to effectively determine root causes and deploy effective corrective action plans to put in place permanent solutions to problems. Document and update problem solving database to insure clear and timely closure of actions.
• In conjunction with Engineering, perform FMEA's to establish inspection plans and SPC plans
• Active participation in both departmental and cross-funtional improvement projects.
• Manage, track and communicate Material Review Board action system
• Manage the customer return process - recordkeeping, communication, and corrective actions
• Assist in training and qualifications of local Safran Landing Systems personnel in the understanding of quality requirements. Ensuring each job/process has clearly documented quality requirements that are known and understood.
• Support and communicate the culture of continuous improvement, lean, 5S, and quality at the source
• Support / lead Quality initiatives via data analysis, including Measurment System Analysis (MSA)
• Perform other related duties as required

Physical/Environmental Scope of Position
• Will be exposed to and handle hazardous wastes as defined in 40 CFR 261.3
• Sit for long periods of time while operating office equipment
• Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
• Perform duties requiring kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds periodically

Travel specifictity
Occasional travel may be required.
