Quality Inspector II

Summary:

Responsible for the inspection of components, subassemblies, and finished products. Able to determine the proper sampling plans based on Component Specifications, Inspection Plans or Customer supplied requirements. Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance.

Essential Functions:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components, subassemblies and products;
• Provide input for inspection methods and improvements related to the job;
• Assist Quality and Engineering in investigations of process related quality issues;
• Provide samples and communication to QA and Production Management concerning quality issues when required;
• Organizes work and storage areas for efficient workflow and to showcase the quality of work in the facility;
• Understanding and knowledge of the use of basic inspection tools;
• Other duties as assigned and requested in support of the position and Aero Turbine's needs;
• Communicate effectively to team members;
• Detail oriented, able to stay on task, and self-motivated;
• Conduct internal department audits;
• Be compliant with safety procedures and policies

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED;
• Certification in precision inspection and other related discipline's helpful;
• 2-3 years of related experience;
• Manage time efficiently; have good planning and organizational skills; be able to apply good decision-making skills; read/write English; basic mathematical skills; basic computer skills.

Salary Range: $21.00 to $28.00 Hourly
