RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the policies, procedures and services of the Clinical and Anatomic Laboratory from a Quality perspective.
- Maintains oversight that insures Continuous Readiness environment with respect to Regulatory agency guidelines.
- Collects and analyzes data that gauges laboratory performance. Analyzes processes and workflow for improvement opportunity.
- Investigates events of noncompliance and reports findings. Coordinates new staff training insuring efficient use of resources in for instruction and attaining competency.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must meet the educational and experience requirements as stated in the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).
- Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in high complexity testing laboratory required to include at least 4 years of supervisory experience. Experience as a Generalist preferred.
- MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent required.
