About Our Supplier Quality Group
The Supplier Quality team is committed to setting policies and procedures to achieve a high performing Quality Management System through best practices and innovative solutions. Responsible for the Aircraft Avionics, Electronics, and Power Plants supply base management to drive accountability, improvements, and quality assurance initiatives.

About the Role
The Supervisor for this role will be a leader in this position. The person selected for this role be leading team members supporting our suppliers for aircraft avionics, electronics or power plants. Interaction will be with experienced Supplier Quality Engineers, suppliers, and our production team daily.

Location: Position is based at our headquarters in Savannah, Georgia. Not eligible for remote work.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in aviation sciences, quality systems or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years progressive, related technical experience required.

Position Purpose:
In a team oriented environment, performs inspection duties and supervises subordinate personnel to ensure Quality assurance or inspection activities are maintained in a timely and efficient manner. Supports the quality management system ensuring all aspects of the processes, systems or delivered article are manufactured or returned to service and certified in accordance with approved quality system requirements.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Supervises assigned personnel ensuring compliance to the Quality Management System, current FAA and/or FAR regulatory requirements and the company policy.
  2. Assists in the development and implementation of plans to improve quality.
  3. Reviews and approves FAA and/or FAR paperwork and correspondence (e.g. FAA Advisory Circulars, Airworthiness Directives, Inspection Requirements, Aircraft Service Changes & Customer Bulletins).
  4. Monitors quality inspection and Return to Service functions.
  5. Coordinates scheduling and manpower assignments for subordinate personnel and determines equipment requirements. .
  6. Explains and reinforces the company/site values and goals to departmental employees with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  7. Promotes, encourages and participates in positive and open communication.
  8. Conducts personnel performance appraisals and addresses personnel performance.
  9. Provides training, technical guidance and direction to subordinate level personnel. .
  10. Identifies and manages Lean Six Sigma initiatives. Oversees continuous improvement initiatives to improve cost, schedule and quality of processes.
  11. Provides appropriate departmental support for both in house and road trip scheduled/unscheduled maintenance events. .
  12. Ensures customer service satisfaction through timely/accurate completion of all paperwork requirements.
  13. Aggressively manages departmental safety programs in compliance with existing safety regulations.
  14. Ensures compliance to budget targets and time keeping policies.
  15. Coordinates documentation projects and activities between applicable Gulfstream facilities.
