What's the job?

Reporting to the Quality & Digital Manufacturing Manager, the Quality Technician is a multi-faceted role with wide ranging plant responsibilities. Specifically, this role supports: Quality, Industry 4.0 Initiatives and Continuous Improvement.
  • Establish, maintain, and administer inspection procedures, controls, and documenting changes through established procedures.
  • Perform receiving inspection of raw material as needed.
  • Utilize internal audit process to identify gaps in quality systems, develop actions based on findings.
  • Assist in production trials: Production meeting, trial oversight, and material management in accordance with approved trial plan.
  • Manage material hold process, including supplier interaction, material disposition, and corrective actions.
  • Own calibration and validation program for measurement equipment based on WCM
  • Support WCM Quality and Process Control Pillars and participate in projects related to quality
  • Review and document customer returns to validate customer complaint
  • Update and maintain existing digital floor communication boards and digital measurement equipment.
  • Develop, create, and update Power BI-KPI dashboards as required.
  • Submit tickets as needed to update specifications, manage access, and request changes to Factory Plus, QDMS
  • Assist in identifying and implementing new technology for point of use data collection and display to improve production efficiencies.
  • Assist in MES utilization and expansion to provide production with real time production performance metrics
  • Participate in the current process state mapping, identifying efficiency/improvement opportunities & creating future state vision to drive process improvements tied to KPS's of the business utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Standardize processes, developing Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, 5S activities, displaying manufacturing KPIs as needed
  • Assist in creating of Standard Work

What do you bring?

An ideal candidate is agile and adaptable to the changing demands of the manufacturing schedule. Able to thrive within the TEC (Trust, Empowerment and Collaboration) culture to serve the internal and external customer. Although the role is an independent contributor, the candidate should be able to navigate within multiple teams.
  • Education- 2 year Associate's and experience working in an manufacturing facility
  • Experience in writing SOPs and work instructions.
  • Exposure to Lean Principles or WCM (World Class Manufacturing)
  • Familiarity to Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, SharePoint and SAP or other ERP systems.
