Your role

Are you an experienced Quant developer analyst with experience in derivatives pricing, risk and data science? Are you in innovative thinking and enjoy building tools?

We are looking for someone who can work closely with Trading and Sales desks, utilizing a variety of technologies to provide fast time-to-market and applications on UBS's next generation, cloud-native Quant data, Risk and PnL platform.

Activities and projects spanning:
• design, develop and enhance state-of-the art risk management and pricing tools
• develop analytics on derivatives portfolio hedging / optimization
• trading algos for low-latency trading / market-making (warrants and listed options)
• back-test hedging strategies across market regimes
• develop derivative strategies pricing /analytics for structured products
• migrating Excel-based pricing / param / risk management tools onto service-based Web apps on Azure cloud
• engage in cross-team project collaborations from requirements capture through to delivery

The candidate will be expected to closely liaise with Trading, Sales, Structuring and Technology groups in the equity derivatives business across the full product range of exchange listed, OTC and exotics.

The candidate will be able to rapidly learn in-depth knowledge and gain experience in
Equity Derivatives trading / risk management from both Technology and Business perspectives.

Detailed salary information:
• New York: the salary range for this role is $155000 to $185000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team

You will be working in the IB Quants organization in New York as a Quant Developer, working closely with the wider Quant and Quant platforms teams both locally and globally. In addition, you will be working closely with global business stakeholders to elicit / review requirements, devise strategies, and implement solutions.

Your expertise

• ideally 4 years of experience.
• minimum Bachelor degree from a recognized University. Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics majors preferred.
• self-motivated with independent thinking, and a quick learner that can thrive in a fast-paced environment full of challenges and opportunities.
• strong communication skills in both written and verbal English. Experience in working across business and IT at all levels will be a plus.
• an excellent team player with a good balance of strategic view & rapid application development.
• proficient using Python (C++, Javascript, KDB/Q will be plus)
• solid background in data structure and algorithms.
• knowledge of Web development will be a plus.
